Local SEO in the UAE, for Google Maps and nearby searches

I set up and look after your Google Business Profile, your listings and your location pages, so people searching nearby find you, trust you and call.

Monthly SEO plans from AED 2,700 per month. Setup AED 1,080 once, waived if I built your site.

How Google decides who appears in the map results

When someone searches for a dentist, a garage or a café near them, Google shows a map with a few businesses above the normal results. Local SEO in the UAE is the work of earning one of those places. Google weighs three things.

Relevance

How well your profile and your website match what the person typed. A profile that names the exact service beats one that only says "general trading".

Distance

How far you are from the searcher, or from the area they named. You cannot move the shop, but you can make its location clear.

Prominence

How well known the business is: reviews, mentions on other websites, and how your own site ranks in ordinary search.

Two of the three are in your hands. That is where I work.

Google Business Profile, done properly

Most profiles are claimed, filled in once and forgotten. I go through every field, because each one is a chance to match a search.

  • Categories: one primary category that names what you do, plus the secondary ones that are true.
  • Services and products: each listed by name, with a short description.
  • Opening hours: including Ramadan hours and public holiday hours, set before the date and not after a customer finds the door closed.
  • Photos: real pictures of the premises, the work and the people, added regularly.
  • Questions and answers: the questions customers really ask, answered by you.
  • Name and description: the real business name, in Arabic and in English, with a description written for each language.

One name, one address, one phone number, everywhere

The UAE has no postcodes, and the same address gets written many ways: by building name, by street number, by area, by the nearest landmark. Google compares your details across directories, maps and social profiles. When they disagree, it trusts them less.

I choose one exact format for the name, the address and the phone number, in English and in Arabic, and use it everywhere: the website footer, the Google Business Profile, the directories that matter in your sector and your social profiles. Old listings with a previous number or a former location are corrected or removed.

Reviews: ask every customer, reply to every one

Reviews feed prominence, and they are the first thing a person reads before calling. The method is simple.

Every customer gets asked, at the moment they are happy, with a short link or a QR code that opens the review box directly. I set up the link, the wording, a card for the counter and a WhatsApp message your staff can send in a few seconds.

Every review gets a reply, the good and the bad.

I never buy reviews, write fake ones or offer gifts in exchange for them. It breaks Google's rules, Google can remove the reviews or suspend the profile, and customers can usually tell.

Local SEO in the UAE starts on your own website

The profile points to your website, and Google reads that page to confirm what the profile says. A homepage that mentions everything in one paragraph does not confirm much.

Each service gets its own page, written around how customers describe it. Each location gets its own page, with the address in the chosen format, a map, opening hours, directions by landmark, parking and real photos.

Behind each page I add LocalBusiness schema. It is a short block of code that states the name, address, phone number, hours and coordinates in a format machines read without guessing. If speed or indexing problems hold those pages back, a technical audit finds them.

Businesses with several branches

The rule is one profile and one page per branch. A single profile for the head office does not help the branch in another emirate appear for people near it.

Each branch gets its own Google Business Profile, with its own phone number where possible, its own hours, its own photos and its own reviews. The profile links to the page of that branch, not to the homepage. The business name is written the same way on every one of them.

Duplicate profiles are merged or removed, so reviews are not split between two listings.

Local SEO and Google Maps: questions

How much does local SEO cost in the UAE?

Local SEO is part of the monthly plans, not a separate product. Search costs AED 2,700 per month, Search + AI costs AED 4,050 and Bilingual costs AED 5,850. Setup is AED 1,080 once, waived if I built your site. The commitment is 6 months, or month-to-month at +15%. Every plan is on the pricing page.

How long does it take to appear in the map results?

I cannot give you a date, and I do not promise a position. What I can tell you is the order of the work: the profile first, then the listings, then the reviews routine and the pages on your site. Each monthly report shows what was done and what moved.

Can I appear on Google Maps without a shop or an office?

Yes. Google allows businesses that travel to their customers, such as cleaning, maintenance or delivery, to hide the address and list the areas they serve. The profile still needs a real business behind it, correct categories and reviews. Distance is then measured against the areas you serve.

Someone left an unfair review. Can it be removed?

Only Google can remove a review, and only if it breaks its policies. I report the ones that do, with the reason. For the rest, the best answer is a calm public reply and a steady flow of new reviews from real customers.

Do I need my profile in Arabic as well as English?

Yes, if any of your customers search in Arabic. The name and description can be entered in both languages, and Google shows each reader the version that matches their settings. On the Bilingual plan the pages on your website are written in Arabic as well.

Is local SEO enough by itself?

It depends on how people find you. For a clinic, a restaurant or a workshop, the map is often the main door. Businesses that sell across the country need more. The full picture is on the SEO services page, and a free audit tells you which applies.
